These species are found in warm to cool, subtropical waters. Includes the geographic and climatic zone immediately north and south of the tropical zone, usually between 20-40 degrees of latitude in both hemispheres. Has at least eight months with a mean temperature of 10 °C (50.0 °F) or above.
